Who We Are

GUDA-USA is a vibrant community of Guzang indigenes living in the United States, united by a shared commitment to give back to our homeland. As the diaspora wing of the Guzang Development Association (GUDA), we actively contribute to the growth and development of Guzang Village while preserving our rich cultural heritage abroad.

We are committed to supporting sustainable development in Guzang Village while fostering unity, culture, and belonging among Guzang people in the United States.

What We Do

Community Development

We initiate and support projects that improve living conditions in Guzang Village, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and clean water initiatives.

Cultural Preservation

We celebrate and preserve the traditions, language, and customs of Guzang through cultural events, festivals, and annual conventions

Diaspora Engagement

We build a strong, supportive network for Guzang people in the United States—creating a true “home away from home.”

OPERATION FEED GUZANG VILLAGE

This was a humanitarian initiative of Guzang Elites, women, and youth, based in the United States of America under the umbrella of the Guzang Development Association(GUDA-USA INC).
The main objective was to respond to the food and humanitarian crisis the villagers face caused by the ongoing Anglophone Separatist crisis in Cameroon and amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. More than $36, 770 was raised through individual contributions from GUDA-USA INC. members.
This money was used to purchase items of basic necessity like: rice, salt, soap, maggi, hygiene items, and toiletories. This humanitarian relief package was effectively distributed to the affected people of Guzang who expressed joy, relief, and hope in an era of war, hunger, and a growing pandemic

IMPROVEMENT OF ELECTRICAL IN THE VILLAGE AND IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTH CARE

In response to the cry of the people for a long period of electrical power outage caused by the complete breakdown of a main electircal transformer, Guzang Elites, women, and youth, based in the United States of America under the umbrella of the Guzang Development Association(GUDA-USA INC) raised money and bought the electrical transformer which was installed. Electricity was brought back and homes were lighted.
The working Condition of Nurses at the Guzang Health Center were improved thus increasing their performance and ability to serve the community. This was done by ensuring their labour is duly rewarded with good salaries
